Greetings! Our family has recently relocated to San Diego, CA, specifically in Mission Beach, after residing on the beautiful island of O’ahu, HI, and prior to that, Phoenix, AZ. We’re excited to resume homeschooling our four children (ages 9-15) after relocating to this new city. We’re seeking a dedicated educator to join us on this journey. Here’s a brief snapshot of our children. The start date for this position is May 6th.
Kaylee: She is 15 and in 11th grade.
In addition to her grade-level work, she is taking her first college course- English 101, remotely, at Arizona State University. She enjoys drawing, writing, and listening to podcasts and music. She has a dog named Bailey, who is a miniature golden retriever that she loves teaching new tricks to.
Brodie: He is 13 is and in 8th grade.
He is quick and witty. He has a great capacity for retention, but requires some extra attention to stay on task and focus. Brodie enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his brothers. He has recently discovered his love for the ocean since we’ve moved here and we can rarely get him to come in from the water when it’s time to come back home.
Christian and Wyatt: Our identical twin boys are 9 and in 4th grade.
Wyatt enjoys reading and science, and Christian is enthusiastic about math. This rambunctious duo can be found anywhere their brother is. They are up for almost anything and enjoy playing, fighting, and exploring. They both love being on the beach and are huge fans of boogie boarding.
We are excited to start this adventure with our kids, with the assistance of someone capable and caring. We would love to sit down and introduce potential candidates to our family and see if it is a good fit for everyone.
Our primary focus is for the tutor to foster strong writing skills in our children, encouraging them to express themselves eloquently and creatively.
Our priority is to find a skilled tutor who can cultivate a deep love for reading within our children, fostering their imagination and expanding their literary horizons.
In addition to focusing on writing and reading skills, we are particularly interested in a tutor who can nurture confident and articulate speaking abilities in our children.
This position would only be suitable for in-person candidates that would travel to our home in San Diego, California on Mission Beach
The average would be around 20 hours per week. These hours are flexible and may also be affected by certain projects or assignments that a child has coming up.
We would love the official start date to be May 6th of this year.
We will pay a competitive $20-$25 per hour, dependent upon level of experience.
